So, I mean, when we chatted last time, there was a bit of a discussion around getting started in trading and you know how best to to make that move and to choose what are the right games to play in what order like how so so let's pivot a little bit into getting started and depending on when this comes out i'm also going to put a whole series on substack about this same topic and put my thoughts forward on it um so you know is there a suggested path first step second step you know do you keep your day job do you not do you know do you go all in do you start light do you trade small to trade big you know the common things but yeah how do you get moving because a lot of people spend a lot of years spinning their wheels and if not losing money at the outset so you know what are some of the core principles to getting started efficiently

yeah okay yeah this is this is a really big topic i think um i can give some some some recommendations i think are really really useful fundamentally like you have to you have to treat this like a business right like The market is a competitive environment.

You don't get rewarded for turning up and doing comfortable stuff that's kind of fun.

really for for a systematic solo trader the psychology you need is like the discipline to turn up every day and run boring processes uh grind out small noisy edges over time like that's that's real market psychology right there like it's not you know sort of um you know i don't know like the psychology of looking at a chart and figuring out what's going to happen the psychology is just being disciplined But, yeah, that's a big one.

Is this stuff that you just got to comb through academic papers to pick up ideas on or you learn through years in the market? Where are people getting these ideas from to even investigate?
