That game is Cairn, the rock climbing game from early in the year made by The Game Bakers.

Bakers.I haven't been able to get this game out of my head.

It is truly a remarkable achievement.

I've played a lot of games with climbing in them recently, notably Jusant, which was a very cool game about climbing from a couple of years ago, and Death Stranding and Death Stranding 2 are also games that I really appreciate for how much they feel like, uh, actually moving through nature.

You're not doing that much straight-up rock climbing in the Death Stranding games, but there is that feeling of carrying a heavy backpack and looking down over difficult terrain and really having to think about what your body is going to do.

And I think that's what's so effective about Karen.

It puts me in the body of this protagonist, and, uh, it makes me feel such empathy.
