[laughs] Is it a wonderful thing worthy of celebration that we're spending so much more time invested in parenting, or is it driven by anxiety and resulting in parental burnout?

One of my least favorite parenting approaches right now is how increasingly individualized, highly intensive parenting has become, and we're saturated with best practices for making a magical childhood that you're responsible for.

And it's very perfection oriented, and I think that's a best way for us to feel like we're failing as parents is to be perfect.
14:23
Because there's not a single day that I feel like goes perfect as a parent.
14:27
So I feel like that's a huge issue, and instead we try to help parents shift that and talk about how can we help your child navigate difficulty and care about people and contribute to something beyond themselves, because that's what truly creates a happy and meaningful life in the long term.

But also, there seems to be a lack of community in parenting, and a lot of parents are sharing that they feel lonely.
14:51
Parents of children who are younger feel the high rates of anxiety and depression.

Where does one find a village, and what is the value of community in raising a child?
