Okay.
23:03
And that is actually an etiquette.
23:06
When you expose, you don't have to separate your melds.
23:09
It literally says in the rule book that you don't have to, but it's an etiquette to separate your melds.
23:15
So if I separate my melds, can you explain to me why it is a benefit to someone to see the joker in the middle? 'Cause when I look across at a rack, if I see the joker at the end of a pung, I can see it, or if I see it in the middle, I can see it.
23:30
I don't understand why is it an etiquette, and do you guys do that?
JasonHOST
26:03
I, I have a bigger question: Why don't you wanna do it? [laughs]
26:07
Well, for one, the funny thing is this: Once everybody started saying that, I started doing it, just because I absolutely love my followers, and if that's what they want, I'm totally gonna do it, right? I guess for me, though, and maybe when you guys play this week, you can just take note, I still don't see it as an etiquette, meaning when I look across the table and someone has a pung out and it's joker, three crack, three crack, and the joker's not in the middle, I still see the joker just as well on the side than in the middle.

11:45
She goes, "You have to go find your people to play with." And when I sort of was doing some searches here in Bucks County, like, nothing was coming up.And I was so bummed because I was cer- I was seeing all my friends that I used to live in Austin, and it's exploded there.
11:59
So they're doing it like wineries and breweries, and I'm like, "I can't even find a group." So I was like, "Well, maybe selfishly I'll have a class and just teach some people so I can make my own group." And I offered a couple classes-

What is your approach to the game with beginners? Like, do you give everybody a bag of tiles where, you know, and make a hand out of it? Do you teach the tiles first the way Lance does with his short videos and then get into the card? How do you approach your teaching?
18:21
I do a little bit of a layering style.
18:24
So the first thing we do is we learn the tiles, but I put all my tiles out in a messy mess for them, and I make them touch the tiles and turn them over and find the dots and find the cracks.
18:35
And then I'll always do, like, a teaching lesson and an activity.
