Help me understand it or, or let it go.
20:06
That's really interesting you're bringing this stuff up.
20:09
A lot of conversations I have are very topical and things that I'm involved in at the moment and coaching clients I have and conversations I'm having there.
20:19
A lot of folks are talking about the same thing, but this concept of our thoughts is is so very, very powerful.
20:27
If you take that same concept you just said and just realize that the thoughts happening, and by the way, I had this conversation with my assistant two days ago.
20:35
I just said, I said, hey, Serena, I said, do you believe that you are your thoughts? And I was asking her, and she said, knee-jerk reaction.
20:45
Yes, I do.

um in in some way at least i like to think that but i'm sure that there are other people who think oh my gosh my my thoughts are bad
6:50
like oh yeah i did exactly i know i did i tried quite a few things before because the only thing i knew i didn't want to do was real estate because my dad had been in real estate and then of course it all and ends up well as we spoke earlier i said i'm a control freak um so i think we're gonna let's pop into uh talking about systems because you're a systems guy which i can appreciate but i'm a control freak and i have my team is my we can do an on the job on the interview training too yeah so i my husband and i together for 35 years our son now works with us for the last five it's amazing i'm a control freak and a micromanager and now that i learned to have claude text and email my team i'm making them crazy i'm like remind them to do this put the listing up today you know um Let's go into systems and how you put together systems and have created such an incredible powerhouse team.
7:51
I think the beginning place to understand when we talk about systems, I think some people might get a little worked up on it.
8:00
The basis of this, I really learned this from from the book by Michael Gerber called The E-Myth.
8:07
And if you haven't read it, if anybody really wants to truly understand the essence of great systems, why they're essential to a great company, small or large or medium, is the essence of systems building.
8:22
And it's in this concept of, he describes it as the franchise prototype model, but the E-Myth stands for the entrepreneurial myth which is he walks us through that path and i don't want to get off track but it might be it might be instructional for anybody listening which is the idea that people want to get into business they want to be a business owner but what a lot of people do is they're they're not equipped to handle the magnitude of the business, real estate being a perfect example of that, because a lot of folks don't even know what they're getting themselves into.
8:52
But you end up finding somebody that wants to make food because it's their unique ability.
8:57
They want to be a chef.

So, you know, one bite at a time,
5:43
How, how do you, how do you instill that with everyone through your systems and processes?
5:48
Well, through coaching and training, but i- in a, in a practical, tactical way.
5:52
If you take, if you take your, everything you've learned and you document it.
5:57
So everything.
5:57
It takes a lot of work to slow down- So whenever you find yourself doing something, if it, if you know it hasn't been documented, you've got to take the time to slow it down.
6:06
So slow it down, record it, document it, put it into SOP, a standard operating procedure, which is, uh, the essence of this is how we do it here.
6:15
There's a, a word that I teach my team never to use, any word that ends with an L-Y.
