Talk about that story and that experience because it's a good one.

So that to me was crazy because I've never, ever done anything like that, you know, and the choreographers, Richmond, Tony, Fly and Michael Rooney.

So there was four choreographers on that gig.

Richmond and Tony have been dancing for Michael for a long time.

There's two Samoan brothers that are absolutely amazing dancers.

Still to this day, they work on most of the Michael projects that are out.

They told me that he likes to do the click track thing.

it's almost like you know and i you talk quite a bit in the book about the bad for her and then has to deal with this her whole existence like it's not an excuse because how could you not end up being a little bit you know, off your rocker when you had to deal with this.

Is there anything you can say about that or want to talk about that to clear it up?

Well, I mean, from the beginning, you know, that that relationship before was was over way, way before that.

So, I mean, by by them creating this thing out of that, that's that's how it did happen, I think, because, I mean, if they would have looked at it like, OK, he really wasn't with this person when he got with her and this and that.

I mean, that's how it was me and.

Me and Char have been split up for a long time.

So but that's not how the media portrayed it.

They portrayed it like, oh, he left her and left his kids and all that.

Is there anything you can say about that or want to talk about that to clear it up?

So how do you reconcile the goal of helping Britney with the act of publishing allegations that could cause her significant public shame and, with somebody who's already on the edge, emotional distress?

Well, it's not...

You know, the last thing I wanna do is hurt anybody.

But like I said, for me and my family, you know, we have been living the lie, and telling the truth, I feel, is the only way to move forward, right? I don't want my kids growing up just being okay with everything painted as this, you know, picture that really isn't true.

I want my kids to know that whenever they feel they need to stand up and, and be honest, that they should do that, right? So I'm trying to lead by example.

This isn't about tearing Britney down.

This is about telling the truth so we can get to a point to build her up so she can have the relationship that our kids deserve.

And, and the, the Free Britney movement started, and the conservatorship ended, how did you feel at that moment, um, about that decision? Was that the right decision at the time, or were you against that when it happened?

And, and the, the #FreeBritney movement started, and the conservatorship ended, how did you feel at that moment, um, about that decision? Was that the right decision at the time, or were you against that when it happened?

yeah and that's i that was my first question is about the kids now you waited so they were older they're 19 and 20 yeah so they're older they obviously they grew up in the spotlight or are you trying to hide them from the spotlight a little bit but did they read the book before you put it out were they helping you putting in any input

Um, no, I mean, they, they definitely knew everything that was going in the book, obviously.

Um, and, and they did read like pieces, bits and pieces of it before it was out.

Um, yeah, I mean, you know, like I've been completely open with my kids since they were teenagers.

I really, and I talk about it in the book, you know, there came a point where I had to lay it all out there for them.

So they knew what was going on.

By the time they were old enough to understand and see for themselves, keeping things from them was not an option anymore.

It's not out of spite.

Do it today.

So, there's quite a few reasons, right? Um, for one, my family and I are tired of living the lie.

Um, for two, I want my sons and my family to be able to go out and live their lives out from under all of this, you know, and- and get out of the shadow of this.... and a major, major part of why I'm doing this is because we have tried everything else, and I see no other way to try and get her help.

I mean, you know, everybody has been alienated from the situation, so once we've done everything, this is like my last final straw of trying to plead for help and support for my sons to, uh, you know, get her to a place where it's better.

And I understand that this hurts, and the truth hurts, and all of that, and that is not what I want.

I'm not trying to hurt anybody.

I'm trying to put a perspective on it and show people that help is needed now, because time is running out.

But do you think, do you think it's that that was the catalyst or were there demons there long before she became famous?

Hmm.

So I mean, you can imagine the production of what it was, you know.

And then to see like his interaction with him and Marlon Brando, they're driving around on a golf cart and like acting like they're gonna run people over.

And then there's other times where we were on set and we were getting ready to dance, you know, Michael has like some squirt gun or something and he's like hiding behind stuff, and people, like you didn't know it was him, and you, people are like trying to act out their scenes, and he's squirting them in the face with water and stuff.

[laughs] It was, I mean, it was, you know, everybody was just having a good time.

But when it got, came down to like business, dude, it was, it was crazy.

I remember the first time, like we sat there and rehearsed for about a week, and then, uh, before he even came in the room you knew he was there, you know?
