What was kind of the trigger for that?

As soon as the first truck was attempting to cross the border from Russia into Ukraine.

It was horrifying to see in one 24-hour period the situation become so intense, and Ukraine was being invaded.

And I, who am part Ukrainian with proud Ukrainian roots, had a very close relationship with both Ukraine and Russia, so it was very close home to me.

And so I had this dream, just as a direct response to Putin, who was saying that we have no culture, that we have not our own identity or language.

It was my direct response in, uh, forming this orchestra, which really was a dream to help refugees who are flowing over the Polish border into U- uh, uh, over the Ukrainian border into Poland.

I thought that I could reach out to these musicians who were suddenly abandoned and, and, and struggling to, to help musicians and as a direct response to Putin, that you cannot silence their culture.
