65:29
And it's probably here to stay given the frustration of so many people when they look over and say, hey, well, the Joneses have more.
65:39
It's real and it's dangerous and they're organizing.
65:42
And so as much as I make fun of it and call it cosplay, because look, you gotta have a little bit of fun with it.
65:48
We need to treat it seriously.
65:50
And I think what's really important is like, why do people get here? It's because people are frustrated with the cost of living.
65:55
They're frustrated with gas prices.
65:57
They're frustrated with interest rates.
69:14
I love it.
61:31
Okay.
61:31
There are folks who, who come from seemingly all walks of life, and I think that that's, again, the, the allure of, of socialism is something that promises you everything, something that promises you liberation and freedom from the system that you don't like.
61:49
It's attracting more and more people, and that's why I think it's so important for us to educate Americans about what actually happens under socialist regimes.
61:59
We've seen it in Venezuela.
62:00
We've seen it through communism in the Soviet Union and through Cuba, that it leads to horrific outcomes.
62:06
It leads to pain, suffering, the loss of human rights, the...
62:10
It destroys economic systems.
62:40
I love it.
89:02
Well, they
89:02
don't.
89:03
And I think one thing that is amazing about our Constitution, there are plenty of countries that have written beautifully crafted and worded that have protected freedoms, but they have never lived up to it.
89:16
And I think that that's one thing that is amazing about the United States and our U.S. Constitution.
89:22
Not only have we talked the talk, but we've walked the walk.
89:25
We have lived up to it.
89:27
And the U.S. Constitution limits and divides government power, creates checks and balances, And reserves are powers that aren't explicitly given to the federal government, to the states and the people.
93:33
Do you think the DSA is ready to answer that kind of concern? Well, I believe that that
48:30
They've got a problem.
48:32
We have seen a major shift to the left from the Democratic Party and what we thought was just a fringe movement of the squad of AOC and Jayapal and Ilhan Omar and others seems to be the absolute fundamental part of the Democratic Party with El-Sayed and others.
48:50
And look, we cannot allow socialists and democratic socialists to get a toehold on America or even a toehold on the Democratic Party, because it absolutely does not work.
49:01
And it is not part of the American culture when it comes to being a free people living in a constitutional republic and being a part of the innovation that we've seen for 250 years that has led America being the greatest place on earth.
49:15
This is a system of government that has control over freedom that does not believe in innovation, does not believe in the American dream, that believes the government should control your life.
49:27
That's not the American dream the way that I see it.
49:29
That's an
50:46
That's the intent, isn't it?
48:47
Ivy League, alive and well in socialism.
48:51
They did not do him any services here, but he claims to go talk to all these real Americans who are frustrated with the system.
48:58
Who? Because again, let's look at the receipts.
49:01
I do have the receipts.
49:02
Americans for Prosperity has the receipts.
49:05
This is not what Americans are climbing for.
49:06
They are frustrated with Congress because they want Congress to focus on real priorities.

53:31
In fact, he is the first Democrat down by this much, as I said, essentially since 1994.
53:12
But this love of communism that is coming from the left, primarily from the under 30 crowd, what made them so ripe for this?
53:26
You know, Mary, I keep coming back to what Ronald Reagan warned us about, and that is that freedom is not passed through in the bloodstream and that we have to fight and protect it.
53:37
And it seems like we have failed to do that.
53:40
But I think what's happened over the last four years and look what happened during the Biden administration, 21 and a half percent cumulative inflation increased.
53:49
The average American family had to pay $11,400 more just to maintain their lifestyle.
53:57
And I think these Gen Zers are seeing the crippling college debt.
54:01
They're seeing how expensive housing is, how expensive interest rates it is to be able to, say, start a new business or to get in their first home or to make groceries affordable.

6 MINS LATER

59:57
He was late on his rent for the first three months and then just stopped paying because in New York you can do that.
41:45
W- Americans are tired of, of the, those in the society who don't work wanting more free stuff.
41:54
[laughs] That's exactly right.
41:55
I think the DSA plan can really be put in a nutshell that says it's more government, less housing.
42:03
It is what you just let, read off with, that it's more public housing, universal rent control.
42:08
What we're going to get is we're gonna get more government control in our lives, and it's going to result in the exact opposite of what they want, which is more housing for Americans.
42:41
Make it make sense for me
42:41
meWell, we're absolutely blessed to be Americans, and we have abundance as Americans, and I think that we ought to lean into that.
42:49
And I think that's something that we should absolutely think about when we talk about these DSA policies, that what they forget, they should absolutely look at the historical lessons.
5:40
Tell us about, you know, what's ha- what you've done thus far and maybe what's coming.
5:45
What I love about the list is it's constantly growing because somebody will find me and say, "You know, you should do this." But here's where the list is so far.
5:53
So one is...
5:54
Where we're starting is, can I join the American Revolution? 'Cause I think that as we celebrate 250 years of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, that's a great place to start.
6:03
We're talking about, again, fabric of America.
6:06
I think about Lewis and Clark and being explorers and going out into the wilderness in the Missouri River.
6:11
So can I paddle out on the Missouri River and see what it might have been like? And those are some of the historical parts, but then there's also the America part.
7:31
Maybe tell us about, uh, what you were doing in Boston.
22:45
But this stops it because real Americans, real Democrats, and yes, there are millions still out there, are going, what am I looking at? They don't support this, right?
22:57
absolutely right look at americans for prosperity what talk to americans every single day at their doorstep on the telephone we crisscross this great country talking to americans about what do they want to see in this country and i can tell you not a single one has come up to us and say hey you know what you know what we ought to do to fix america we ought to eliminate the senate the presidency in jails.
23:20
It's completely out of touch w they want steve is they w to get the barriers remov red tape.
23:25
They want to li And what do we see with s with communism, we typically see pain and human suffering.
23:41
We don't see the kind of innovation that we see with free markets and capitalism.
23:45
We don't see life-saving medicines.
23:47
We don't see innovations like the internet and things that have pushed humanity forward.
25:16
I mean, the list goes on, right?
39:32
I mean, we have complete bedlam.
39:34
These things are pretty fundamental to the United States of America enshrined in our constitution, which has done pretty well for us for 250 years.
39:43
Well, the constitution isn't 250 years old, but the United States of America has been rolling along pretty well.
39:48
And I think about what has socialism delivered the world.
39:51
It's typically pain and suffering and not what the United States has delivered.
39:56
The United States has delivered innovations that the world has never seen.
40:01
We've delivered more people out of poverty than any other system in the world.

8 MINS LATER

47:45
Secretary of State Rubio.
20:34
So what can be done? Where do we stand right now?
20:38
Well, that's exactly right.
20:39
Under Joe Biden, we had 21.5% cumulative inflation.
20:43
And what does that mean? That means that the average American family paid $11,400 more just to maintain their lifestyle.
20:52
And you're right.
20:53
We saw a consumer price index move up at 4.2% and a producer price index move up at 6.5%.
21:01
And what that basically means is that it's getting more expensive.
25:01
This happens at various points where you'll have a rule, a regulation that's suspended, and then you ask yourself, well, why do we need this in the first place? Is this actually helping us? Why do we need it at all? Tell people about the Jones Act and whether or not we do continue to need the Jones Act to be in place.
73:23
And so I think that this is going to be costly if Republicans don't get in front of the issue you're taking.
73:31
Well, that's exactly right.
73:32
For the last two days, we saw the consumer price index, and that's basically the basket of goods.
73:38
If Americans go out and buy things, what's the price increase of it? And we saw an increase, one of the biggest increases in the last couple of years.
73:45
Then today we saw the producer price index, and that's what people who create things and make things have.
73:50
And that's also up today at about 6.5%.
73:53
And what's that show us? That show us that the cost of goods are going up.
76:08
And yet, where are we on it? nowhere
19:56
Your assessment so far of the Trump economy and maybe even more importantly, Kent, where we're headed.
20:04
Well, look, I'll talk about where we're headed, but let's look at where we were.
20:08
The one big, beautiful bill rights the wrongs of Bidenomics and the Biden administration.
20:13
Bidenomics, the hallmarks were $4 trillion of wasteful spending, out of control, 40-year high inflation, energy policies that made gas over $5, an open border.
20:25
What does this bill do? It cuts $1.5 trillion in wasteful spending.
20:31
It opens up offshore drilling to help us make us energy dominant.
20:35
It allows the average American family to save $3,700 on their taxes.
23:10
You couldn't find a better city where that's going to play a huge benefit for the people, Kent.
38:14
What are the optics here? What is the message? And what are real people who live in that world really thinking?
38:20
Well, look, six million Americans have filed their taxes and because of no tax on tip, they are seeing an average deduction of $7100 and it means more money in Americans pockets and what you just talked about I think is the perfect example.
38:37
there's hope for americans and younger generations that they're paying their own way right and so we can't we can't be too hard on younger generations that they're they're doing doing their their best work and and paying their own way but also that it puts money back in their pockets people are working overtime and so i think it's a good sign but there There is so much in the working families tax cuts.
38:56
In addition to no tax on tipbook, I think it corrects so many wrongs of the Biden administration.
39:02
That Bidenomics era was one of out of control government spending.
39:06
It was one of higher inflation.
39:08
And this one corrects it.
42:53
Is that going to fuel the economy as we head into midterm season?
68:27
How do Americans get to get up to speed on the symbiosis that's now between health insurance carriers and these Obama subsidies?
68:37
Well, you're right.
68:38
These subsidies go to big insurance, and it props up a failed ACA government health care.
68:45
And what we're seeing is we're seeing that this is the spending spree that they want to be on.
68:49
These were COVID-era temporary subsidies that we no longer need.
68:54
And so what we have found from the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services, that 60% of ACA enrollees have access to a plan that costs $50 or less.
69:07
Now, that doesn't mean that some people won't see premiums increase, but a majority of folks who have ACA subsidized plans can get a plan for $50 or less per month.
69:38
So is that theory completely wrong?
