I know it doesn't probably always feel that way, but from an outsider perspective, it's looked like that.
7:11
Yeah.
7:11
So right after, or I was still kind of dabbling in television stuff and doing commercials and shit like that.
7:18
But when I got into the training stuff, I'd go, I actually got hired to be a firefighter.
7:24
So out of college, my dad's like, you got to take the civil service test for New Jersey.
7:29
He wanted me to be a cop or a fireman.
7:31
If my dad had his way, that's what I would have done.

18:22
And then pretty soon right after that, or I think right around the same time, you start creating this platform, which walk us through kind of like the idea, inspiration of the next steps into kind of building this.
10:18
And I'm just curious about, you know, what, what the effects for you have been in terms of like having body insecurity as a young, a young boy.
10:27
Yeah.
10:28
Well, I've made it my life's work, right? I, I, became a trainer and I forced myself, well, I put myself into a position where I have to be in shape.
10:40
I have to work on myself all the time.
10:43
People look at me and they're like, oh, but you look great.
10:45
I'm like, yeah, but like, I've set my life up so that I have no excuse not to do it.
10:51
I own two gyms.

17 MINS LATER

27:30
Rudy Rudiger.
24:22
I didn't, I didn't see anyone.
24:24
Okay.
24:25
So my thing is knowing that, was it a joke that went wrong? Sure.
24:30
Fuck, whatever.
24:31
Stupid.
24:31
What were we? 25 at the time.
24:33
All right.

16 MINS LATER

40:54
all about helping other people
30:53
They never let up.
30:54
If you care to fucking comment on it, I'm just going to block you.
30:57
I don't give a shit.
30:57
You say what you want.
31:00
And it came to the point, like, I...
31:05
I was at a point in my life, probably around like 2013, 2014, where I'm like, this is fucked.
31:11
I can't deal with this anymore.
34:43
You can John Wick someone if they've touched your child.
1:28
Yeah.
1:29
And it's, like, the biggest equipment show of the year here in the States, and it's all the big equipment brands.
1:34
And one of the things that everybody was saying, they were like, "There's no innovation.
1:37
There's nothing new." And I go, "You guys aren't ...
1:39
You're walking around, and you're not even giving anybody a chance." And I went, and I tried close to 150 pieces of equipment, and we're g- we got a whole video content, like, a whole story coming out on it, uh, on my page and stuff.
1:52
The amount of effort and time and work that people are putting into gym equipment nowadays is incredible.
1:58
Like, I love it.

56 MINS LATER

57:51
Mm.
9:52
Heavy lifting or higher reps?
9:54
As I get older, I've leaned into the more reps, but it, there's a, there's a good balance, right? I think there's certain lifts that I'll have clients do and myself that are, I will stay somewhere between 8 and 10.
10:09
10 years ago, 15 years ago, I was more in the one, three, five area, just for more strength.
10:16
But I think if you...
10:18
You shouldn't be doing low reps until you have some sort of structural integrity and years under your belt where you can handle that type of weight, 'cause that's where you're gonna start to get hurt.
10:27
I, most new clients, anybody who comes through the door that's very green when it comes to exercise, I start them out with like 10, 12, 15 reps is a good sweet spot for people to practice form, get used to the movement, gives me an opportunity to see how they move and adjust.
10:46
And as they get more versed and better equipped to handle heavier weight, then I'll start to move them down to the six to eight category.

7 MINS LATER

17:58
... where do you like to start people?
11:44
Once a
11:45
year? Yeah.
11:46
Um, so we're doing the event.
11:48
I love it.
11:48
I'm always in the fall.
11:49
Yeah.
11:50
We just did it September 25th, 26 this year.
