14:24
So what's the end result then if we keep doing this?
14:27
You know, I think we see in real time what's happening to the world all around us now and maybe...
14:33
It's very difficult to choose to be constantly aware of it because it's kind of frightening.
14:38
I guess, you know, you see France is burning and Spain's on fire and we have a drought in the west of Ireland.
14:44
And people say, oh, it's doom-mongering and it's quite scary.
14:47
And it is scary.
14:48
And I think it's right to be kind of concerned about the state of the planet because the insects are gone because of human beings and our behavior and what we're doing here, you know.

10 MINS LATER

24:55
in people under the age of 40 and now younger people are presenting with this now we don't know the answer okay but there are theories that it's to do with the gut microbiome it's to do with microplastics it's to do with many other things are chemicals having a part of that too or and I know I'm singling out colon cancer here but there are other cancers that are on the increase that people are worried about but It's almost like I feel I don't know enough about it to even talk about it and I don't want to scaremonger, but I think it's worthwhile having somewhat of a discussion about it.
1:41
Did you hear an answer to the call?
1:43
Yeah, absolutely.
1:44
I mean, we were hugely overwhelmed with the response from people.
1:48
It's been an amazing, uh, week.
1:51
Last week was, was just, yeah, it was, uh, out- out- beyond our wildest expectations, what happened.
1:58
I mean, people were so good.
1:59
We had people ordering, such positive responses to the, to the request for help.

8 MINS LATER

10:01
And what, so what can people do then to help people like you?
2:33
so for anybody maybe who is not familiar with what happened talk to me about what led to you making the video
2:42
So I suppose we've had a fairly intense period of warm weather and it's not unexpected to see a kind of a change in consumer behaviour for us over the summer because schools close and people go on holidays.
2:56
I guess this year it was just the kind of the depth of the decrease in orders that we saw.
3:02
So it's People, I guess, three to four weeks leading into that, we were seeing each week a drop-off in people ordering our veg boxes and supporting the business and the farm.
3:13
And then the heat meant, and it's probably like yourself or ourselves, you just weren't inclined to want to cook or be in the kitchen.
3:20
It was too hot.
3:20
It was like, oh my God, it's just so much effort.
7:58
What does that mean?
19:02
Yeah
19:02
... and that our bodies need, you know, from a sustenance perspective.
19:06
So there's a very easy win.
19:08
I mean, it sounds easy anyway, but I think it, with a little bit of thought, it can happen, is that, you know, if we're mo- a little bit more conscious or mindful when the opportunity arises of the food that we buy and how we consume it, then.
19:23
We talked about simple food.
19:24
Like the other day, I had some new potatoes and some fish and some salad, and that was it, and it was simple.
19:32
It was very tasty, and there was no waste.

22 MINS LATER

41:57
For somebody listening, what would you say to them about growing their own vegetables if it's not something that they currently do, or w- if, or if they're starting to get into it? Is it possible to do it- With a very s- like, if, if you don't have a lot of land, say, and if you've a small back garden, can you still grow your own veg?
