What inspired you to write this story?
1:45
Well, that's going back to the very beginning, isn't it? The genesis of The King's Frog Hunter started when our daughter was about, I guess, five or six years old.
1:56
My wife and I were wondering how we were going to educate this beautiful child.
2:01
One of the many things we discussed was how to teach her the values and virtues that we wanted to instill in her without being too heavy-handed about it.
2:11
And at that time, we had gotten into a bad habit of watching TV every night until going to bed.
2:18
And to resolve that waste of time issue, my amazing wife strongly suggested that one day that we just remove the TV and spend the time in the evenings reading stories with our daughter.
2:34
So I of course agreed to that.

7 MINS LATER

9:20
So how does this story teach character-building values?
5:57
Oh, fabulous.
5:58
So, yeah.
5:58
So I thought, "What an amazing, thoughtful mother," 'cause I realized she'd just unplugged the TV.
6:04
And, um-[laughs] Are you serious? Yeah, serious.
6:08
That's good.
6:08
We just unplugged it, and our daughter was too young to realize that.
6:12
And so- Mm ... we took it out to the garage and, uh, for the next five years we eliminated TV from our environment- Wow ... their home.

15 MINS LATER

21:13
Yeah.
21:47
while that isn't necessarily the case for all other studios during this um sort of dynamic period if i can call it that what do you think is driving that talk to me a little bit about how now studio works and what you're doing differently that you think might be contributing to getting the clients that you're working with and getting the interesting projects
22:09
It's been really interesting to think about what we've been doing in this lens and to a degree what's been successful to date.
22:22
And then really trying to hone in on that and understand that.
22:27
In terms of, I suppose like positive responses, which we've been getting in terms of engagement, I'd say one of the things which we really hold quite high is really listening to our clients and listening to the people who come to us.
22:51
And in some ways it might sound trivial, but I think there's, you know, we try to employ a lot of active listening.
23:00
So really trying to hear their problem and trying to understand what their problem is.
23:08
And not just at the surface level, but like in a relatively quick way, trying to get beneath the surface and understand the underlying challenges and then being able to respond to that.
27:34
know me more about that
