But I want to know a little bit more about how you got down with Rocksteady and like how deep was the crew at its height?

so i started out you know just being uptown you know my mom we came to new york i was born in brooklyn but my dad was in the military so he traveled and i have two older brothers we came back to new york to the projects douglas projects starting on 100th street long story short i came back they were crews from douglas projects and i have to give respect to the untouchables crew mike d and the untouchables dj andre dj sherlock and the shamrock crew right there on Amsterdam.

So they would bring out their equipment and play music.

And this is the first times that I saw these things happen around 79, I think it was.

And I had a bunch of friends, we were all junior high school, elementary school friends.

And I started a group called the Young City Boys.

So that was first.
