And did it seem like that to you? Did it matter? I don't think it's talked about a lot or I don't think you've spoken about it a lot.

Yeah, leading up to that, I was kind of so focused on on doing what I needed to do to be good, right? But I was dealing with a lot of other stuff outside the ring, too, because I had left pro wrestling, or left the MMA world, and I had fighters in fighters' houses and group home for kids, at-risk kids.

So there was a lot of stuff going on, even with my marriage at the time, because I was gone so much.

Now, it was a lot more than fighting, right? And there was so much going on.

And we were moving so fast and I was rising so fast that it was like I was moving up and I was embracing this world that I literally fell in love with.

And yet I was leaving behind this other world that made me this person to be able to achieve this.

And it almost felt like I was being ripped in half.

You know, what was your relationship with Buzz? And it seems like you had a little bit of a different story when it came to Buzz Sawyer.

Well, I think, I think you were right, but the way that Buzz would work it, because, you know, he, he saw not m- m- my future in wrestling, he saw an opportunity for me to be the hitman.

Um, um, I'd won a couple Toughmans, you know, I was a...

You know, because of the way I kinda grew up, I was, I was...

I could h- I could handle myself.

And so I remember going down to Sacramento, uh, from Reno, um, to start training with, with, uh, with Buzz, and he didn't even have a gym at the time.

We were out at this, this racquetball court where he threw some mats down.

I, I, I've had, uh, a handful of, uh, matches in my career or incidents or moments in time where to this day I go back and go, "Man, what the hell were you thinking? Why did you do that?" Do you have anything specifically that has sat with you, whether that's in the octagon or whether in the world of pro wrestling?

How was it working with Vader? Because that is a feud I would have liked to have seen a lot more between you two.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it.

Vader was the right guy for me to be able to put me in there and at least get a feel for what it's supposed to be.

Because what we did wasn't what it was supposed to be.

Because I know when I went in there, I think the understanding with most people that are watching or listening to us right now is that I come from a world where five to six days a week For however long it was going into a fight, I would go into a gym.

I would put people that were my partners and training partners and friends and all that.

And we would literally go in there and we would spar.
