Katrina BurrusHOST
Could you comment on that and give us an example of someone that leads with intention?

Ken PattersonGUEST
For me, intentional leadership means living in alignment with your values, especially and especially when it's difficult, okay? We spend a lot of our life living reactively, okay, versus intentionally.

Ken PattersonGUEST
All right? So when you live intentionally, you have to learn self-awareness, okay? You have to have discipline.

Ken PattersonGUEST
Humility is a big thing, okay? 'Cause we are all just human beings, and that's a big thing.

Ken PattersonGUEST
And then being accountable, okay? In real life, intentional leadership looks like showing up consistently, okay, communicating clearly, and creating trust with the people around you.

Ken PattersonGUEST
It means leading with kindness, but also having honest conversations when needed.

Katrina BurrusHOST
Can you give us an example of someone that struggled with that, that came out, or maybe even your personal experience of struggling through it?

Ken PattersonGUEST
All systems should be set up so that some goofball like me that doesn't know what he's doing isn't gonna accidentally kill his family with his toy trains.

Ken PattersonGUEST
It's not about what locomotive and, oh, what manufacturer are we gonna, oh, make look bad.

Ken PattersonGUEST
The fact is across the board anybody who makes an electronic piece of equipment, you shouldn't have to spend extra money for an extra piece so you don't burn your house down.

When we go to R- when we go to RPM meets, one thing we've tried to do r- more in the last two years, three years maybe, is to bring in some of the mom and pops, the undiscovered people out there that have got a great idea
