Ken, what are some of the highlights over the years that you've witnessed for people who compete in the event?
6:34
Well, there's a couple of points I'd like to make out.
6:36
One of them is the majority of the professional teams, the airlines, they have an after action report where the competitors meet with upper management.
6:46
And years ago, I hear these stories after the fact.
6:49
there was one airline that had a team meeting and one of the competitors stood up and just very proudly said, that's the proudest I've been for my profession and for my airline to be able to not only represent my company, but represent my profession.
7:06
And when I hear things like that, that's how i get paid because as a non-profit you know i come on my own time and all it's a labor of love but that's why we do what we do another thing is it's just the camaraderie you can actually see the mentoring from the professionals in the airlines sitting down with the college students and explaining things of an event that they will be doing and even events they're not going to do because 29 different events.
7:37
The students kind of have to be prepared for more than just the several that they're scheduled for in case something happens.
8:32
There's many sponsors for the 29 different events, but for industry people, for companies who are not yet involved, how can they participate? Can they sponsor an event? Can they sign up to be a judge? Can they sign up to timed events? How do people get involved?
