how are you doing well we're talking about new episodes of the way home which is so exciting uh kelsey i did kind of want to ask i mean you know joining a show like this where there's been so many characters established what was that like for you like that first couple of days on set diving into that world
0:26
oh my goodness i mean it was incredible as well as overwhelming i think i i booked it i got the call and then the next day i went for a my first read through of episode three.
0:36
So I found out that I booked in and immediately the next day I've been welcomed into this already established, beautiful family and they accepted me immediately.
0:45
And I felt so at home right away.

I know it's all storytelling at the end of the day, different worlds, different characters, but do you bring kind of mindsets from past projects to something like The Way Home, or are they completely separate once you wrap them?
8:15
I mean, I think with each kind of new experience on set, you gain more experience and knowledge, and you kind of take things, whether you take things for your different characters, I feel like I approach each character differently.
8:27
differently but I'll always value the experience I get on a certain set and will always take those lessons with me to the next project for sure

Mm-hmm.
8:00
Because, you know, as Tessa, I don't know where things are going either, right? So I was kind of learning as we went.
8:07
And yeah, so I was, like, along for the mystery as well.
8:10
I wasn't sure where was, things were going, and I'm excited for more to be revealed about Tessa.

Yes.
14:15
Yeah, I think something the show does so well is a pretty authentic, um, representation of grief and what grief does to family dynamics, and how that affects a family.
14:27
And then what's so beautiful about the show is the ability to time travel back and get to learn more and, like, get to know your grandfather who you never got to know.
14:36
And I think people who've experienced grief really, it's really special to watch and to, like, see these moments, and I think the show just does it so beautifully, and everyone is just so human and beautiful and flawed.
