Kelly, where do you think we're underdoing it?
17:02
Oh, probably with the dilution, so flushing wounds, um, 'cause it, it took me a while to wrap my brain around just put them under the faucet and let it go.
17:11
Um, so that was an area as, as well.
17:13
Um, as well as learning to support the patient as a whole.
17:17
We all wanna focus in on that wound and go, "Oh my gosh, this is exciting for us, horrible for them," but we forget that, you know, they've got a nose and a tail, um, and all in between, as well as pet parents that come with it.
17:29
Um, so finding ways to have a, a more, a patient-encompassing approach, looking at their nutrition, looking at their pain management, looking at how we can help their pet parent be a part of, of this wound therapy, um, that they don't think they're hurting them with application of medications or bandage changes that we- That's been a, a bigger thing for me, and I, I think a lot of us do underdo that at times.

[clears throat]
54:48
... well at all, and they're outside.
31:24
So Kelly, what is it? What is Scafogen? Here, I'm gonna give you the box so that way you can show them m- what's in it and how it works and all that, all that stuff.
31:30
Yeah, so Scafogen, it's a, a 3D extracellular matrix, uh, wound gel.
31:35
Uh, it is a hydrogel as well.
31:38
Um, it's very easy, um, to apply, uh, if you can get it out of the box.
31:45
Um, but it, it comes in a, a very nice, um, with the applicator tip, uh, where you can apply it, owners can apply it.
31:53
And you can also take it off to apply to larger wounds, um, by having the, the more open.
31:58
Um, it's a, it's a clear.

39:13
And then that one.
19:29
So walk us through this, Dr. Kelly.
19:31
And so this was a cat that came into us, um, unknown origin of, of what triggered the wound.
19:36
Um, but the owner had not known it was there for potentially several days.
19:41
Um, so after, you know, the initial wound, she would clean and, and management.
19:45
Uh, you know, we didn't do any type of bandaging.
19:48
Uh, we sent home the ScaphoGen with them.
19:51
Uh, we did do i- uh, systemic antibiotics because again, we didn't know the origin of, of this wound.

12 MINS LATER

31:31
So, um, you know, if the patient goes home to a pet parent that may struggle with complex protocols or bandage intolerance, how does that moving to a structural framework, like we were talking about on day zero, change the efficiency of the clinic by reducing the management complications and constant rechecks that often stem from poor at-home compliance? [laughs]
