How do you go from NFL cheerleader to Fortune 500 executive to building an eight-figure company? Like, tell us, tell us all the good parts.
3:35
Yeah.
3:36
I mean, listen, you know, I-- It started for me when I wanted to take dance lessons at a studio locally, and my family couldn't afford it, so my mom made a deal with the owner of the dance studio that I could clean.
3:50
Uh, so three days a week and on the weekend for seven years, I cleaned the bathrooms, I scrubbed the floors, I cleaned the mirrors, I dusted, and I paid for dance lessons, and that built my discipline, my confidence.
4:05
It helped me to stay humble.
4:08
Uh, and then, you know, when I was done with that, I got into college, and I was doing like five jobs, and I went to the school that I was going to be in the least amount of debt because I knew I wasn't going to-- I was going to have to pay, you know, when I graduated, and they had a horrible dance team and a horrible, uh-
5:40
Mm
5:40
...
3:09
Hmm.
3:09
And in the corporate world, it's a little different than the entrepreneurial world, where a lot of women still don't recognize that there's room for everyone at the top.
3:20
And so we were like, "You know, we need to send the elevator back down and, like, give back and create something that's really just focused on instilling the beliefs and mindset in young girls that are gonna carry them through life." And we were talking about, like, what, what is it that's the difference, right? Because it's not talent.
3:41
It's not capability.
3:42
Like, there's lots of smart people in the world.
3:45
Um, there's lots of people that did really well in school.
3:47
There's lots of people that had an advantage from their parents.

27:34
Yes
19:00
And so I just wanna understand, like, what do you think as a woman you need to do to build a, a business that prioritizes family? Because I think a lot of women want a business and a family now.
19:11
Yeah.
19:11
I mean, absolutely.
19:12
Well, I, I think, you know, knowing what your values are and being clear about them, right? Um, and, and I think to your point, Hala, you know, finding a spouse...
19:22
Uh, I was actually, my husband and I were having this conversation this weekend, um, your marriage is the greatest form of generational wealth that you can ever pass down, right? Because if you look at all the experiences that we've all had in our own lives, good and bad, right, your whole family tree gets reshaped by having a great marriage.
19:42
And I think the first step in answering that question that you just asked, how do you have a business and have a family and be able to do both of these things, is you have to choose someone that is gonna be all in, supporting you to both pursue your dreams, go as high and as far as you p- can possibly go, um, be all in, you know, on, on supporting you, but also know that, um, it's gonna be this balancing act.
20:06
And so I think you're...

8 MINS LATER

27:56
Mm-hmm.
6:44
Will you walk people through kind of the early stages of your life?
6:48
Yeah.
6:48
I mean, exactly that, right? There's five kids in the family.
6:52
When you have five kids in the family, you can do the quick math.
6:54
If my mom were to have a job, we would lose more money on daycare than we would have been able to earn having a second income.
7:01
Uh, my dad decided he wanted to give his life to the church, which is a beautiful thing, but he worked for a non-profit.
7:09
And so again, do the quick math.

18 MINS LATER

25:16
the amount of time people are s- uh, doom scrolling.
6:16
Will you walk people through kind of the early stages of your life?
6:18
life?Yeah, I mean exactly that, right? There's five kids in the family.
6:23
When you have five kids in the family, you can do the quick math.
6:26
If my mom were to have a job, we would lose more money on daycare than we would have been able to earn having a second income.
6:32
Uh, my dad decided he wanted to give his life to the church, which is a beautiful thing, but he worked for a nonprofit.
6:40
And so again, do the quick math.
6:43
You can see how that, you know, works out.

17 MINS LATER

23:34
the amount of time people are s- uh, doom scrolling.
6:35
Mm-hmm
6:35
... energy, and effort, but they're simply not focused on the right things.
6:41
And one hour focused on activating, managing relationships, and inviting people to take action can be the equivalent of an eight-hour workday, and it will completely change anyone's life that is actually willing to prioritize their dream.
6:57
And that's really what I say about the miracle hour.
7:00
It's claiming one hour for yourself and saying, "I am prioritizing my dream," whatever that is.
7:06
Whatever that big goal or that v- vision is, it is that intense, deep work that is so clear, so precise, right? It's engineer-like, and that's what I think people need more than anything right now.

17 MINS LATER

24:02
Mm-hmm.
24:02
I was sitting with my little index card, like, doing what I could do, but no, I mean, I did that.
