gal.
10:33
Yeah.
10:33
And not to mention, it's like, you know, the more you can get your community to support you and refer you, right? Like there's no better way to sell anything than somebody saying you need to try Cindy or you need to try Kelly because they do a great job.
10:46
Nothing can beat that.
10:48
I don't care how much you spend on marketing.
10:50
It's referrals and word of mouth that sells things.
10:52
And so ultimately, if you can get more people in your community advocating for you, your business is going to do well.
13:45
And so, yeah, I think we underestimate or at least I did just the opportunity that's there.
2:49
Well, let's talk about what else is on display here at the museum other than this massive wall of photographs.
2:55
Well, one other area that we pay tribute to is the half breed reservation that Brownville is actually a part of.
3:05
And the half breed reservation... occurred because of the 1830 Prairie du Chien Treaty and so by 1850 the government was finally allotting parcels to the descendants of the French and Canadian fur trappers and the Native American women and so the descendants were able to obtain so many acres and I have read back and it's anywhere from that 300 to 600 acre allotments There's a lot of controversy in some of the reading as to what they actually, you know, specifically was given, but they were given land so that they had some sustainability and that they could move on with their lives and have something to live off of and such.
3:55
By the 1850s, there was an actual map developed, surveyed map, And from what I understand, just reading through history, there were several maps attempted beforehand, but there was controversies as to what line was true and what line wasn't and so on and so forth.
4:15
So it's definitely worth a read to research all of this to see what all of the moving parts were in all of this.
4:23
But we are very fortunate to have a map.
4:27
that we had replicated, and we had contacted the state surveyor's office, and they graciously got the map out, scanned it, and sent it to our person in Lincoln who does all of our replications for us.
6:08
What are some of the other museums here in Brownville?
5:50
Yes.
5:51
One of my favorites.
5:52
Morpheus was giving Neo the choice of the red pill versus the blue pill and said, you know, it's going to change your mind, your frame of mind.
5:59
This is going to give you a different perspective on all of life.
6:02
And you have a choice right now which perspective you want.
6:05
But once you pick the red pill, you can't go back to the blue pill.
6:08
And he intellectually explained it.

14:21
Similar to a comedian who talks about how they have to have tragedy to be funny, do you have to have pain and suffering to find healing?
5:44
Yeah.
5:44
Absolutely.
5:45
Absolutely.
5:46
We can get into it a little bit later.
5:47
But I always say that I got great at business development when I stopped trying to sell anything.
5:53
And it's really kind of when it goes very much to what you're saying about Eugene.
5:56
But like, ultimately, that is what it's all about.

We can give you strategies that should increase your probability of getting to X, but it's not a guarantee.
