I was wondering if you could share with us the details and maybe some of the data from that.
7:55
Sure.
7:55
So we are very, very pleased to be the first company that will be launching a clinical study for the treatment of SYNGAP1-related disorders.
8:03
We anticipate launching that study later this year.
8:06
We have not released too many details of the study right now.
8:10
I will share that we're moving directly into patients.
8:12
In traditional dru- drug discovery, phase one studies are frequently in healthy volunteers.
10:19
So if we think about the sort of future potential for targeting regulatory RNA, and not just in association with explorations in SYNGAP1, but also outside of those bounds, where next, so to speak, for this field of study?
9:08
Yeah
9:08
... oil and gas, travel, uh, retail.
9:12
But there were industries that outperformed, and of course, healthcare and biotech in particular was one of those industries.
9:17
And so I think you had this prolonged period of time during the pandemic that there was a flight of capital into healthcare, pharma, and biotech.
9:27
And so that resulted in, um, a really unprecedented amount of company generation and, you know, funding flowing into earlier stage companies that are just by definition riskier because they're earlier science, and the probability of s- of success at that point in time were very low.
9:44
And so I think you saw companies were getting off of the ground, getting funded that maybe in a, in a more, um, a more conservative capital environment wouldn't have been being launched.
9:56
And so then you had this sort of glut of earlier stage risky companies.

5 MINS LATER

What leadership muscles have you had to build to meet that challenge?
