So I'm just interested to get your thoughts on that verdict and the implications there are for the Premier League as a whole, sort of in the past and going forward.

I think we all wonder as fans, don't we? Why is it taking so long? It's just drifted and drifted.

I think most fans up and down the country, all they want to see is fairness, a degree of equality.

And, you know, we will always have in football.

You know, this happens in a grassroots football where, you know, an individual player, A wealthy guy comes in and he thinks he can take a grassroots club through to the next level and then on to the Football League.

These are aspirations that these people have, but they don't sustain it.

And I think that, you know, what we're going to see, I'm sure, is an appeal.

I mean, what's your opinion of VAR, how it's been implemented, how it can be used effectively for the game for good? Because it's not going anywhere, okay? So how do we make sure it works for all involved?

And I feel like Mike Dean saying this has done exactly that, right? It's sparked a fire that he's going to have lots of problems trying to put out now.

Yeah, I think that, first of all, I'd say this about Mike Dean.

He's always, in the time that I've known him, said it as it is.

You know, he doesn't hide and he doesn't tell porkies.

So therefore, I take this with a great deal of seriousness.

Now, let's look at Mike Dean as a referee.

22 years as a Premier League referee.

I'd imagine if you're a young ref and coming into the game and trying to develop and trying to progress to every time you feel like you're in a great place someone comes and creates essentially a shit storm around your profession again and I feel that that's exactly what Mike Dean has done here
