This is my victim statement that I read out at the, the sentencing

sentencingIt is with a tremendously broken heart and spirit that I made this statement to the member of the court.

My name is Keisha Francis, the mother of Fortune Shiloh Williams.

That day we lost an intelligent, talented, loving, and kind daughter, [sniffs] granddaughter, sister, cousin, and friend to many.

Although I cannot address every person's life who was affected due to the very poor decision the defendant made that evening, I would like to express the effect that I have personally felt and witnessed in my own life as Fortune's mother.

While I have experienced some tough situation growing up, nothing or no one could prepare me for the tragic and senseless death of my daughter on May 17th, 2023.

The 16-year-old driver in this case was ultimately sentenced to between one and one-third and four years behind bars.
