Where did you go from there?

Well, I'll say that is my first experience joining community and economic development.

I didn't even know that that was a profession that you could get into.

I had worked for a community action agency.

And at the time, the CEO of that organization, Hoosier Uplands, was on the IHCDA board.

So that was where I got exposure to state government, particularly within the lieutenant governor's family of business organization.

So I spent two and a half years with the Office of Community and Rural Affairs as a community liaison where we got to interface quite a lot as local communities are trying to drive change across their communities.

I feel like you're always on the road, but what does networking look like to you, especially today, post-COVID, where digital is such an efficient solution for getting connected with people?
