24:02
D- is that, is that good PR, Katie?
24:04
I think it is, and I think it's going down quite well.
24:07
Um, obviously, it'll, it'll see the test of time in terms of whether or not people have patience for, with it.
24:12
I think that it is different from Keir Starmer and Theresa May.
24:15
My time with Theresa May, Theresa May wanted to, uh, show and not tell.
24:19
She wanted to do the thing and then tell everybody that she'd done it, rather than tell everybody it was coming because she felt that politicians let people down all the time.
24:26
Except you have to depend on the fact that the patience is there with the general public to give you the time to do it when you're not communicating that journey.
28:29
How, how long has he got? Or does it, how long does a leader have?

28:34
[laughs]
28:34
Um, we met at...
28:35
Well, we first met when I did that cameo at the Video Music Awards, the first one that he hosted.
28:41
And then we met again.
28:43
I, I, I s- I literally shook his hand, said hi, and then made out with him, which is basically, like, his life story.
28:49
But, um, not mine, 'cause I'm a good girl, you know.

29:03
[laughs]
29:03
Um, yeah, I ended up probably telling him that.
6:29
[laughs]
6:29
Um, we met at...
6:31
Well, we first met when I did that cameo at the Video Music Awards, the first one that he hosted.
6:37
And then we met again.
6:39
I, I, I literally shook his hand, said hi, and then made out with him, which is basically, like, his life story.
6:44
But, um, not mine, 'cause I'm a good girl, you know.
6:59
[laughs]
6:59
Um, yeah, I ended up probably telling him that.
4:36
[laughs]
4:36
Um, so I'm always keeping lots of notes.
4:40
I'm writing everything down.
4:42
I'm doing voice notes, all, all of it, right? And I'm just constantly in this flow, and I'm on, I'm just constantly in creation as well.
4:49
Um, and so, you know, I have, all I need to do is just open up my book of notes and be like, "Oh, this sonic tone matches this lyrical idea"-
8:19
Yeah.
8:20
So the first part is being super intentional with writing the song, and knowing every line is going to be...
8:28
You know, sometimes it's gonna have an effect, right? And, and what you hope is that, not that people go, "Oh, this is about Katie and her life," but you hope that it gets broader and bigger, and they apply it to their life and their situation.
4:42
Katy?
4:43
It doesn't puzzle me, though, because this is kind of reflection on what people have been complaining about for a Keir Starmer government for quite some time, which is they're kept in the dark or that things are last minute or that, you know, if you look back at the reaction to, uh, the local elections campaigns, we were told in January that it was priced in and that Number 10 had a plan, and yet you got to the night and the day after the elections, uh, and all of a sudden it was all hell broken loose, uh, which was kind of, I guess, expected, but, but not quite because they had six months to work out what their response was gonna be.
5:14
So it doesn't actually surprise me that a Defense Secretary does not know the outcome of the des- defense budget that's been talked about for quite some time until three days or two days before he's meant to be announcing it.
5:24
Um, uh, a- and I do feel this, this is quite a dangerous time for Keir Starmer and makes it more difficult for him to stay on.
5:31
I also think this is quite dangerous time for Rachel Reeves too, because what he's really saying is his treasury doesn't get the t- the f- the threat to this nation.
5:41
The Treasury is not taking this seriously enough.
5:43
And what it also says is that the Labour PartySeems to not be able to grip some of the biggest challenges of the day by shaking down the departments for a salami slicing of spend when you still haven't focused on the welfare bill or the triple lock or whatever it might be that you think is, is, is worthwhile of a national conversation, is kind of a, you know, backward way of, of going about it, and, uh, it is reflective of politics these days, which is we're just gonna try and make do amend and just scrabble a bit of cash from here and a bit of cash from there.

22:51
Um, Katy, what can the opposition parties do to respond to John Healey's resignation this way?
38:34
Mm-hmm.
38:34
And then it, it exploded again when I discovered The Beach Boys, and then it exploded again when I discovered Alanis Morissette.
38:42
Um, and you know, I'm still s- like, I'm such an avid listener of new artists.
38:51
Um, and br- I always have brought new artists.
38:55
I've brought everyone on tour.
38:57
Kacey Musgraves, Marina and the Diamonds, Charli XCX, back in the day.
39:02
Everyone.

Were you impacted by these fires at all? Did you know people that were impacted by the fires?
