Yeah.

But I think they believed so deeply because they had a squad that had been together and they'd been through this.

They knew they were gonna do it.

I wonder out there today is why we were so, so emotion, is because there was a little bit of doubt.

Would they be able to beat this French side with the group of players they had available? And actually, they smashed it out the water.

Nobody looked out of place.

Defensively, they were rock solid.

Strength and depth's always been there, but the mental resilience I think they showed in the opening 10, 15 minutes today, next level.

So are they a little bit defensively frail or fragile at the moment?

Well, I mean, the stats are saying yes, aren't they? I think what's interesting defensively, and we can't not look at the players that they're missing.

You know, uh, no Zoe Aldcroft, no Moena Tallen, no Alex Matthews, no Sarcia Kabeya.

And where England for me are really defensively frail is around the breakdown, which typically is where you would see those players defended.

No Hannah Botman, no Lark Davies in there as well.

I think what worries me is France like that breakdown game.

And even the anthem, seeing all that, yeah, it was definitely a proud Scot moment for, for, for me personally.

Just on the back of that though, you know, I stand here as like a, a very proud Red Rose, but it's amazing for your- these guys and, and Scottish rugby to celebrate that because sometimes you come to these big stadiums and they don't give it full credit.

And what I can 100% say today, I thought the union did a really good job the way they stopped the bus.

They allowed these players to really enjoy the occasion.

I thought taking my headphones up in, in commentary and listening to the anthem, I had goose pimples.

And, and just to see people like Rona Lloyd, Rachel Malcolm, who have been through the trials and tribulations of Scottish rugby, have this moment in the sun, quite literally, I think was one that is thoroughly well-deserved and, and really lovely for, especially for me to be part of.

So yeah, is it a case of we try to find, um, you know, more physical, muscular girls who are athletic to allow us to play that sort of a way? Or do we have to try to adapt our- our game where we're not so reliant on big, massive forward carries to allow us to get forward ball? Can we find other ways and methods that uses the skills and qualities we have available to us to create, an- another game plan that's not, you know, the- the copy, uh, copy and paste ones that we get from other nations?

I think the other thing is you have a real opportunity as a smaller nation to go and use your talent transfer the women's game, and I think for me, this is where Scotland, Wales, our other home nations have to be more progressive in what they're doing.

He's just turning back rows into second rows.

Well, it's, it's interesting, isn't it? 'Cause there's two views on that.

Is he basically saying there isn't another second row that he thinks has the capability at the moment to go and play in international test match rugby, or is it that Haydy has the characteristics because of what he's seen at Ealing to be able to do a job and he c- can put, like say Alex Matthew, he can use his more experienced back row to play out of position, allow her to play in her first choice position.

I think it'll be really interesting how he uses that back five.

You know, Lutui becomes really interesting now, having had I think out of the 10 PWR starts, two of them were at second row.

But the thing that probably makes her special and, and for me probably the front runner to partner Lily Ives-Campion is the numbers she puts out in the PWR.

So usually what you'd find is the back rows, because it's a bit easier back there when they're just hanging out with their hands, um, put up-
