What does it look like to run an entire organization through your leadership, across your staff, embedded in systems, and of course, through partnerships in a trauma-informed way? It's basically our DNA

at Act for Kids.

I certainly wouldn't call it a mindset.

It's deliberate and intentional and evidence-based because there's decades of evidence now about complex trauma and the impact on people.

And so from a therapeutic or intervention sense, the things we do are designed very intentionally as evidence-based programs.

And the interventions will depend on the age of the child or whether they're an adult, the type of trauma they've experienced, the setting for the intervention.

So our service design is actually quite straightforward because we base it on research evidence about what works.
