What in your expert opinion do you think about these two very different strategies for how to deal with the time change?
0:29
Oh my gosh, I have strong opinions on this, Ed.
0:33
So when we cross time zones, just because the clock on the wall changes in our destination, it doesn't mean that our body clock changes immediately.
0:43
And that's because we have an internal timing system, our biological clock called the circadian rhythm.
0:49
So what happens is when you travel to a new time zone and Your body is trying to align.
0:56
And during that alignment process, you end up with a misalignment between your internal circadian rhythm and external time.
1:04
This results in sleep disruption, problems with performance, problems with digestion, metabolism.
4:03
What is their circadian rhythm going to look like? What do you expect their performance to be like?
1:10
Well, before we dig in, tell us a little bit about your story and what you do.
1:17
So what I my favorite topic is, is women and women actually in power positions.
1:25
And what I want to talk about today actually really did come from my own story, which, you know, a lot of us have that experience.
1:31
And that's what I really appreciate about The group of women that you interview and that both of y'all and how we work is that our own personal experiences are what totally drives us.
1:41
So for me, I have been a practicing acupuncture physician for about 40 years.
1:48
And when I first started working, I had gotten into alternative health care from allopathic medicine because of my own illness.
1:57
And that illness, you know, I almost died.
