So definitely it got to me and then I met this wonderful family group of people through the American Hernia Society, the International Hernia Collaboration, where they just want to explore and broaden all the knowledge and bring it to everybody and teach and have these guidelines so we can all do and practice the same type of surgery.

So it has been a wonderful journey, and that's how I ended up here in New York, because I was offered a position in research, because things have changed so much, techniques and materials, that I was wondering, is this really the best thing we can do? Is this working for the patients? So I wanted to do real research and take some time, and I was two years at NYU.

And now I'm between here and Costa Rica.

So I go fly back and forth where I have tenure at my home hospital.

If they have a... working relationship with a hernia surgeon let's say where we can talk with them and say this is what i'm looking for they may look for it otherwise they may not consider what we are looking for to be clinically relevant
