The reality is we might have thought that in the past and we might have acted that way in the past, but the reality is anyone could have this occur to them.

That's a great point.

And actually, I don't know if folks know, but Haven is actually the merged organization of two different agencies.

One was sexual assault support services, and one was a safe place where we just kind of sprouted up grassroots where there was a group of people that saw a need for a domestic violence agency, created a safe place.

Less than a year later, a different group saw a need around sexual assault, didn't know about the other one.

And created SAS.

So for years and years and years, we worked closely together, but with the goal of eventually coming together to be able to get bigger and do more for the community.
