What can we learn from Garrity about the tough spot that she and other Republicans are in in this midterm, and how they have to balance a sense of fealty to President Trump's party base and then also distance themselves from these unpopular policies?
12:14
policies?Yeah, I mean, I think you hit the nail on the head.
12:17
She has to walk that fine line of still being deferential to Trump, but also creating some distance.
12:22
You know, the party that's not in control of the White House typically does better in the midterms, so she's already at a disadvantage.
12:28
So she was sort of trying to, you know, not bash the one big beautiful bill, like the Medicaid cuts, um, the work requirements for, for, for, uh, for obtaining Medicaid and Trump's tariffs, the war in Iran.
12:44
But at the same time, um, she, you know, tried to sort of distance herself from RFK Jr.
12:50
She was trying to, again, like walk that line of nominally defending Trump while also, uh, saying, you know, "I'm different from this administration.

Could you jump in and give us some clarification here?
9:04
How do they feel about data centers in the state?
9:07
Yeah, I mean, like you said, there's a lot of different parties involved.
9:10
There are a lot of different factors involved.
9:12
I think building and construction trades, they're in favor of getting to construct and getting to build, so, and like, like, the GRID requirement has labor standards, like amount of jobs created, amount of salary paid, um, on an annual basis that I think appeals to unions and trades.
9:31
And, um, I think the, the Chamber of Commerce feels similarly, right? They support the idea of GRID initiatives.
9:37
I think they said they had some concerns about, um, the, the idea of, like, changing the tax break law to make it more hard, uh, harder to get.
9:46
But broadly speaking, like they said, they agreed with the standards.
10:16
And that action would be to broaden the incentives, or is the action to regulate data centers so that, um, there are more guardrails maybe?
