Yeah, I do buy into it.

I don't know what it is.

I think it's innate since I started ru- watching rugby as a kid, because obviously there is huge rivalries within the Northern Hemisphere and, you know, you think of rivalries like Ireland-England.

A lot of the time Irish fans would also support Scotland against England, or France have been so good in recent years as well, and have caused the Irish rugby team so much pain.

But there is this weird kind of we simply must be better than them attitude around Northern versus Southern Hemisphere.

And I think you, you do just have this, this absolute desire to beat them, but then am I gonna shout for England over South Africa? Am I gonna...

I think if you're a huge rugby fan, maybe you'll commit to it, but if you're a casual rugby fan, there's just so much else to watch.

But then news emerged this afternoon, quite different.

Yeah, so the police say that she was located deceased within her home, and that she sustained serious injuries, apparently.

Em, so obviously the announcement, like you said, came through this morning, um, but police did confirm later on in a statement.

Um, speaking in that statement, Detective Chief Inspector Ilona Rossen said, "This is an extremely tragic incident, and our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of Ann Widdecombe at this difficult time." Em, they said their murder inquiry is in the early stages but moving at a significant pace, and they're deploying all necessary resources to find out what happened.

And they have said that they're looking for a white male and are appealing to anyone who was in the area yesterday, uh, to come forward, uh, with any information if they might have seen anything.

And they said they'll release further information when they're able to do so.

So there's not that much actually out around about this yet, um, and they are really asking and urging people not to speculate about what happened, especially on social media, um, out of consideration for her family, but also for the investigation as it is in those very early stages.
