[laughs] But what is, what is a truly cat-friendly or catified home from the cat's perspective? What does it need?

Kate BenjaminGUEST
Um, number one, climbing or vertical spaces, and that doesn't mean just way up above your head.

Kate BenjaminGUEST
It can just be something that's slightly raised off the ground, maybe a raised bed or, um, something at the bottom of a, of a shelf where you put a nice soft pad.

Kate BenjaminGUEST
Cats like to be up off the ground because it gives them a better perspective of their environment because they're both predator and prey, so they're always kind of on the lookout for what might get them and what they can get.

Kate BenjaminGUEST
Um, and they need that ability to get away from maybe dogs or toddlers or other cats as they can, you know, go up high and kind of have their safe space.

Kate BenjaminGUEST
The other thing, um, you wanna think about are enclosed or semi-enclosed areas.
