Mm-hmm.

But when it comes to film, obviously because horror film was more concerned with Dracula and Frankenstein, the, the classic horror film, um, the female Gothic appeared in other genres.

It appeared in, in things like Hollywood melodrama and romance and things like that, the '40s gaslighting films and stuff.

So it's not really a horror thing, but then you s- you, you start to see it sort of creep out in the '70s.

Again, not a big thing.

You know, films like Let's Scare Jessica to Death is a really good example of female Gothic.

Um, so to see a film that fully is in the female Gothic, I'm always like, "This is amazing," 'cause it doesn't get into so-called, like, quote-unquote horror very often.
