How did you get it? I mean, other than Ram Jam, how did you get into Lead Belly?
6:17
Um, actually I was probably like 12 or 13 and I was on YouTube and I, uh, I heard the version of Where Did You Sleep Last Night by Nirvana.
6:26
Right.
6:27
And I was totally blown away, but I was like, is this his song? It sounds a bit different from other Nirvana songs.
6:32
And I dug a little deeper and I heard Lead Belly's version and it was like, my mind just like exploded.
6:38
And it was just like, I couldn't, I didn't really realize that I had access to...
6:44
Music that was recorded so long ago.

Yes, thank you, Art.
24:06
Please help me welcome, also for her first visit, Kat Clyde.
24:22
Thank you guys so much.
24:32
I think
24:42
of you everywhere I go I hope you know, I hope you know And as the rain, it turns to snow This heart that beats under the falls It shifts its shape like tides that roll But keeps the rhythm fast and slow Time it beats, to and fro As thoughts of you like April snow Linger in my heart so deep That piece of you I always keep Thick as my skin As birds fly by the moment too, rides on the wind and passes through.
25:35
Above the earth, above the clouds, above where strangers stand in crowds.
25:43
Fire licks the wood to ash, telling me that nothing lasts.
25:49
But of the seeds that died and grew, everywhere I There goes my skin, shitting again I keep walking on a path that never ends I think of you everywhere I go I hope you know, I hope you

Thank you.
3:32
Hmm.
3:32
I really write from a place of, um, curiosity and trying to figure out what my own feelings are saying to me or meaning to me.
3:41
Often I feel like I'll write something, and it'll kind of be a message to my future self.
3:46
I don't really necessarily understand the meaning of it or the point of it until much later.
3:52
And, um, but I've definitely felt on this tour, playing that song in particular, this connection with women in the audience.
4:03
You know, I feel like it's really important to be talked about because it's not easy to navigate these constant cycle shifting and mood shifting and hormone shifting and, um, you know, trying to just like pretend that you wake up with the same chemicals in your body every day.

I heard those lyrics, and I was like, "Yeah, I think I kind of get that." Um, what, what did you want to express in, in, with those words?
8:20
Yeah, I mean, I feel like from a very young age, like, women are, are taught to be pleasing and be kind and be polite and just, like, to give an enormous amount.
