Yeah, I would say the main thing, to my knowledge, is that having a healthy diet helps clear what gets in the way, the obstacles to motivation and, and good mood.

Kat BarefieldGUEST
So in other words, think about nutrient, like micronutrients, right? There's 35 or so vitamins, minerals, not to mention phytochemicals and plant compounds that the body needs.

Kat BarefieldGUEST
Well, if you're short, if you have a nutrient insufficiency, or even worse, a deficiency of, let's say, iron.

Uh, but yeah, but it's, but I'll be the first to admit it's like for a male training, a female, it's, it's one of those situations where you do have to be extra sensitive towards and i guess in this example it is temperature you know the hot flashes the temperature changes and and things like that that that she is going through actually more than a few of them are going through at this point in time so whether they mention it or not i'm you know i kind of keep that in mind but outside of those changes and and fitness professionals you know trying to get things right trying to be do better be better um From just, again, to help me better understand, why does it seem like women, you know, when they feel like they've gained weight, but nothing really hasn't changed, right? Because I hear that a lot, but when I do the measurements and the weight, nothing's changed, but they feel like something has.

Kat BarefieldGUEST
So basically, I've heard people say, other practitioners describe menopause as being like... you're going through puberty in reverse, right? So we're now, we're basically becoming deficient in a key hormone that regulates many processes in the body.

Kat BarefieldGUEST
Like they might not feel like they've changed their eating habits much or their movement habits much, but underneath, like what do you get when you have declining levels of a key hormone in the body? It has a real impact.

Kat BarefieldGUEST
For example, documented, repeated, consistent impact on where the female body stores body fat.

So we've talked a little bit about protein and you talked about hormones and estrogen, but Kat, I'm just wondering now is, What can you eat to actually influence hormone balance in menopause? What choices can someone make to make things better for themselves?
