okay so yeah um you know we fished as kids right and then we became adults and we worked you know certain jobs engineering we both have degrees in engineering and then i know i personally felt like i was missing a connection to uh the outdoors and i thought back on my childhood i was like yeah you know i really liked that when i was a kid So we kind of started fishing more in general in our mid-20s, probably in the Los Angeles River, of all things, because it's right next to our family home here.

So we fished for carp.

We liked that.
