And then we'll get to the second portion.
22:41
Yeah, I've been quite fortunate in my career to not have a really significant injury until my foot injury.
22:47
But yeah, my sophomore year at Stanford, the game or game or two before we started postseason, I just got hit on my pinky finger, a random hit.
22:57
It split the bone and I had to have pinky surgery too.
23:01
And out of end of season pinky surgery injury, like how lame.
23:07
So for like a decade when everyone in my physicals for every team, they're like, have you had any surgeries I just had to say right pinky finger but yeah that was hard like you play all season to play in postseason and for something so insignificant to take you out it was you know I wasn't out too long maybe like two months or less but it was like the most important time of season and it's it is not a good feeling like it felt so out of my control and I Tara really, like in the whole coaching staff, had me sit on the end of the bench or near the coaches on the bench and really stay involved.
23:46
And that felt really good to me.
26:56
But what would you advise maybe other athletes could be listening to this with your process of lessons learned or things you might change from that transition point?
4:53
What are you unlearning that helps you step into your version of greatness?
4:58
Personally, I'm coming off a pretty severe injury, so I'm relearning [laughs] how to play and, and be back with teammates.
5:07
But I think I'm in that process of coming back.
5:10
I'm...
5:13
It's a blessing to play.
5:14
Like, I'm unlearning, I guess, the, like, I don't feel performance anxiety right now.
5:24
[laughs] Um, but, like, truly, I feel blessed to be back on the court and just be with teammates.

9 MINS LATER

14:20
[laughs]
2:55
And people look at you and they're like, okay, where did that come from? When you think of your mother, what did you learn about them that kind of has helped define who you are as an athlete?
3:05
My mom grew up in England and she had a really small family and honestly kind of raised herself from like 13 on.
3:15
So I think from her, I just got if you want something, you got to get it done yourself.
3:21
I've been lucky enough to have her in my corner my whole life.
3:24
So I wasn't by myself, but just that drive.
3:27
Did she play netball? She played basketball and netball, yeah.
3:30
My birthday is actually on Mother's Day.

9 MINS LATER

They're 10
