Women on the Rise: Embracing Your Becoming with Karin

Karin VelickaGUEST
It's more about kind of looking at our own patterns in our life and looking at our limiting beliefs and how we can actually go through them.

Karin VelickaGUEST
And I can really see that, you know, I used to work in finance and I was a very high achiever.

And with your coaching, do you have like an online platform or how do you go about first reaching clients, like reaching out and finding the clients? And then once you, you know, secured them, how do you go about working with them as far as creating, whether you create a tailored plan just specifically for them or do you have like an overall plan or how does that work?

Thank you for asking that because we all, especially as you said, when we are at the beginning of building a business, that is such a vulnerable place as well, because there's so much fear of the unknown.

Karin VelickáGUEST
There is so much uncertainty and we don't really know how to get things done in the most productive way as we wish for them to become.

Karin VelickáGUEST
And what I would say is always looking back towards what we have already accomplished because very often we are setting these high expectations of ourselves.

Karin VelickáGUEST
And what I have really found on my own journey is that I don't see what I have already done and I don't give myself the credit for it because one thing is tangible change, but then we also need to bring the nervous system and the intangible change into the question that we can set up Things that are productive, that are tangible, that we can work on.

Karin VelickáGUEST
And that there is a certain plan, but we also need to bring into the discussion the emotional part.

So what's something that you can tell him or her that might help with this, uh, dealing with guilt and shame perhaps of changing si- uh, transitioning?

Karin VelickaGUEST
Maybe I will s- first speak about my own feelings and then tie it to what people can do with it.

Karin VelickaGUEST
But honestly, the first part of it is that I have spent five years at a university learning about all of these different topics.

Karin VelickaGUEST
Then I spent four years doing the work of finance, so I have dedicated nine years of my life in finance, and also po- posing myself as a professional in finance, so who am I to change to something, something that is so different? And it felt like 180, going from very structured, maybe even a rigid environment, to something that is so open and free, coaching, breathwork, so it's the exact opposite.

Karin VelickaGUEST
And this guilt was I spent so much time working on myself, and I wanna throw it away.

But I would like to hear your thoughts about those two situations, and, uh, how can one benefit from, uh, breathwork?
