a little

bit frustrated because a lot of Amdram directors don't, shall we say, could do with some skills refreshes.

And a friend of mine who had been a trained actor on one of the projects I was on, she said, well, you want to learn how to do it properly.

City Lit does directing courses.

So I thought, well, that's an idea.

So I looked them up.

There's a directing different plays course they do, which runs every Friday night in term time.

by David Goodison,

Nobody likes a gaping maw.

Would you two shut up for a second? Well, if it isn't the most useless man in the multiverse.

Hello, Croc.

Can it be true that you discovered how to breach my impenetrable shield? And the vanguard of your forces are you, your son, and your little artificial friend.

Where's Ava, Croc? Oh, I see.

You've come to rescue your compatriot.

A daring rescue mission into the heart of darkness.

If this is what protection looks like, I choose danger.

Can I skip it? Can you please, for the love of Space Jesus, just point me in the direction of Ava?

I must say, in spite of myself, after all this, after I've destroyed all of you, for the first time I think I shall actually miss you.

It's been a breath of fresh air interacting with such ridiculous people.

So I killed your dream.

[laughs] Well, I would say that's a poetic ending, but you do hate poetry, don't you? You realize with me gone, there'll be no one to protect this universe.

It's £12.50 now, I've earned.

And the one thing I learned is you work with new up-and-coming producers.

In five years' time, they're possibly running a whole network, which has happened twice.

Surely.

The legends.

How I felt I got it, there was the time when fallen scholar Travis Vengroff got in touch with me saying, Kareem, our lead actor's dropped out.

Can you voice this for us? Yep.

Granted.

Can't tell you about that summer.

That would be so cool.

It really reeked of, "I am so disappointed in you."

I've had this conversation.
