Dr. Feld, welcome.
8:30
Thank you, Aya and Bahira.
8:41
Looking ahead, how do you see the technology evolving, and what developments could make CT-based assessment of aortic valve calcification easier and more efficient?
8:52
So thank you for the question.
8:54
Um, I think the CT scan itself is already very practical.
8:58
It is quick, uh, it involves relatively little radiation, and gives us a, a robust and reproducible measure of aortic valve calcification.
9:07
However, someone properly trained still has to review the images carefully, making sure we're measuring calcium on the valve itself and not an adjacent structure such as the LVOT, the aortic root, coronary ostia, et cetera.
9:20
Now, this is of course manageable for individual patients, but it is sometimes time-consuming, and especially when you're analyzing thousands of scans.
