You have seven days to get that episode in the can.

So just depends on how many scenes you have that day.

You may have, you know, one scene to where you may have a short day, or you may have a full day where you have three or more scenes.

So, you know, it is a full day.

It just depends.

You know what I mean? It varies.

So how does that make you guys feel to put out, you know, good, good content, content that people can relate to?

Yeah.

through Preach's maturation through this show and his character development, you see, like, yes, I've made a mistake.

I can learn from that mistake, and I can make better decisions that'll actually help me throughout my life.

Or if not, I can make the same mistake and keep bumping my head, but with Preach, you see him make this turn, you know, to being a manager for Coop and seeing something in her to making sure she doesn't go down that same lane that he did.

And then, you know, from that point, then getting with Coach Baker to become a teacher's assistant, and then him finding out he has a daughter.

What does that look like? We don't see too many Black fathers fighting to get custody of their child.

What does that look like? He's a girl dad.

Yeah, yeah.

[laughs] Because when our backs were really up against the wall- [applause] ... we had to figure it out.

You mentioned a second ago family, that you've built a family here.

Um, you guys might not have been able to see this, but I've been lucky enough to spend most of the day around y- uh, the cast and, and N.K. And it...

You can really feel the affection between one another.

It's been quite lovely to watch how close you all are.

You know, I'd see you sort of s- huddle off in the corner and hang out, and, uh, it seems like you really have become...

It gets thrown around a lot, that, that term in, in, in all sorts of places, workplaces, et cetera, but it does kind of have that feeling just watching you interact.

[laughs]

So but how, how do you feel? 'Cause I, I, I know what that experience is like, but how does it feel being on a show and dealing with a cancellation?

On a great show at that.

Yeah, man, I think for me, this is really...

I, I, I've been on a show.

I, I did a pilot a- and it didn't work.

Um, this one f- this one particular was really blindsided, you know, because being out in the, in the streets and, and people coming up to me and talking about the Vince Staples Show.

And I'm like, "Oh, okay.

[laughs]
