So in many ways, even though I was kind of fresh in the Nigerian game, I just felt like I've been in the industry for such a long time, and Olamide was one of those people I just respected from a distance, right? Um, I was introduced to his music by some friends, um, in the US, and I just kinda, you know, kept tabs and just saw how he was growing.

And I would always hear stories about, like, the person Olamide, right, from people who knew him, and, like, how he treats, like, people, his team, and, and things like that.

And I just always respected that, you know? So it wasn't even, I never thought we, we would work together, you know? We'd be in arguments talking about Afrobeats artists, and I'm wearing the Olamide hats, and I'm going in like, "Nah, this, if anyone wants to sign me as Olamide, me, I would sign him too," you know, things like that.

Jyde AjalaGUEST
So when he reached out to me, it was more so, and like a- any artist, I, I look at your music, and I, and I think of, "How can I add value to your brand?" So it's not just about that video we're shooting.

Jyde AjalaGUEST
I, I look at the overall brand, like, okay, what do I feel is missing? Or where do, or where do they want to be in, in their career? Where are they trying to go? And with Olamide, that's kinda, I think, the conversation we had as well.
