Oh my God
23:55
... quite pleased to get this story.
23:57
Um, I hadn't read it yet before I prepared for this podcast, and, um- Uh, just as a disclaimer, I asked my wife if I could mention this, but my wife is permanently disabled, so she has one arm.
24:09
And so, um, some of these things have come up in our lives about people saying things or about accommodations or, you know, "Oh, you can just deal with it," or, "We gave you an accommodation and you didn't like that way." And my wife was born with one arm, so, like, for her, um, a lot of times it's easy to forget [laughs] that she has a sort of a differing ability because she can, uh, sort of charge her way through so much.
24:34
But, um, this story felt very much to me like, uh, differing abilities awareness 101, um, in that a lot of the things are very bare bones basics.
24:47
And so, um, I was a little nervous about bouncing off of it for that reason because I have had a lot of experience, you know, with my wife o- of understanding some of these things.
24:58
But I think it's a very valuable story in that it presents these ideas in a way that's so in your face it's hard to miss.
