So how did you actually find that middle ground of something that you're excited on, but also think that you can actually accomplish?

Justin PurdyGUEST
I deliberately wanted to make a game where I could reuse as much of the code and engine as possible for the next game.

Justin PurdyGUEST
And so I wanted to choose something that was adjacent to the kind of games I'd like to play, like RTS, even if it wasn't exactly like that.

Justin PurdyGUEST
So I'd gain some experience, like even if I didn't reuse the code, at least I'm getting experience working on similar problems as the ones I'd need to tackle if I made an RTS.

Justin PurdyGUEST
The other way I got excited was the concept of, which I'm sure we'll touch on later, of donating 90% of the profits to charity.

Was there a specific moment when you had that feeling that you needed to get out from this other company or was it just more of a slow burn?
