So in Taiwan, a lot of Taiwanese people saw the bookstore employee being arrested, and that reminds Taiwanese people of the White Terror era in Taiwan in the '50s until the late '80s, just before Taiwan turned into a democracy.

So during the White Terror martial law era in Taiwan, possessing or discussing banned books in secret reading clubs was treated as treason or sedition.

And in that period of time, tens of thousands of people faced interrogation and long prison sentences or even execution based on suspicion.

So it really reminds Taiwanese people of that scary period [laughs] in history.

And in terms of the publishing industry, Taiwan and Hong Kong both use traditional Chinese characters.

Basically, the two markets are closely linked.
