But why Martyrs Day? Why does it mean so much to you?

we stand on the shoulders of those martyrs and those rights were fought for and died for.

And I was a history major at UC Santa Cruz.

And I graduated in 1969, so I'm 80 years of age.

So it was instilled in me that these rights did not come about It just happened and these rights have already existed.

And in researching the history and all of those amazing humanitarian activists for good, I believe anybody that protests on the streets or calls their congressperson or takes action is a humanitarian activist for good.

I believe that given the tools and the information and the history, you take action.
