baby.

There, obviously, learning English is super hard.
6:32
But the best way I was able to learn is through after school sports, fell in love with all sports.
6:37
And the sport I love the most is football.
6:42
So I pursued football until I couldn't.
6:44
I went to the University of Buffalo, played division one football there, as well as track and field, suffered and went through a lot of adversity there where I had seven knee surgeries, a bunch of other things.
6:55
adversity throughout the way but I was able to come back and do well enough on pro day to have an opportunity to go to the Bills mini camp obviously did not get chosen to be in the NFL came to the Bucks for another opportunity did not get chosen to do that so it left me in a place of option one corporate dive deep into my two master's and bachelor degrees that I worked hard for Or option number two, dive deeper into community mindset and movement.

As always, thank you for listening and I hope you enjoy the rest of the episode.

So I guess the number one thing that brought me to sports is like learning English.
34:10
I needed to hang out with all the kids after school was done or else I'd go back to a Hispanic home and we lived around, you know, mostly Hispanic people and, um, So through that, I was able to fall in love with wrestling, which wrestling, by the way, it's an unreal sport for kids to like body awareness, being friggin having the the grit behind everything they do.
34:34
But then football came into the picture.
34:36
I was always small.
34:37
But the one thing about football is that there's so many different roles you can play.
34:41
And like you said, the melting pot of everyone, whether you're, I don't know, rich, poor, whether you, I don't know, whatever it is that you come from, you all come together for one winning thing.

What do you think's next for you? What do you think's next for Friday Stairs? What do you see the future like? What's your dream?
12:30
So what did that conversation look like in the founder room?
12:35
Yes.
12:36
Okay.
12:36
So our goal is to democratize health and fitness.
12:39
We want to keep it free for the community.
12:42
There should be no barrier for us to go in and have to pay for a very expensive trainer and or find and pay for a tribe.
12:52
Tribes are created.

How do you make sure that the community continues to feel inclusive and works towards everyone's self-love journey?
