I first learned about the Fireside Project maybe three years ago, but I don't really know about how it started or any of the background and would love to hear the story.
0:32
Yeah, sure.
0:33
Well, I started off my professional life as a lawyer.
0:38
working mostly for the city of San Francisco.
0:41
And I went into the practice of law because my dad was a lawyer and I felt a lot of pressure to follow in his footsteps.
0:49
But it was never a career that aligned for me.
0:53
And so actually, when I started working at the San Francisco City Attorney's Office, I also started getting into psychedelics, ironically enough.

So I guess as like a final note, based on everything that you've learned, what would be your kind of advice to somebody in terms of how to prepare and enter the experience with the greatest chance of having a constructive experience? And then what would be the series of steps if something is not going as they like or if they need support and they want to call you? What would be the kind of
3:21
Well, the transition happened, I think, pretty organically.
3:26
My first profession as a lawyer, I never felt that my heart was fully into it.
3:30
I felt that I'd received some pressure from my family to go down that path.
3:36
And even though I loved my job for the city, it didn't resonate as deeply as it could.
3:41
But there was one really nice thing about all of my legal jobs, including the ones before it, which is that I had great health insurance, which meant psychotherapy.
3:50
And so I started having psychedelic experiences about 25 years ago and going to therapy about 20 years ago.

25:02
Please tell us about that very exciting part of the Fireside Project.
5:33
Well, I
5:34
mean, who's enamored with the law firm vibe, right? Like if you talk about an industry that lacks aura, law firms are probably top of your list, right? Them and like accounting firms.
5:43
But, you know, I think there's just so much to unpack there.
5:47
So think, yes, think a great law firm is a company that is run like a company.
5:53
And I think the Think about any great company in this country.
5:57
How many of them are run by the legal department, right? I mean, think of a great Microsoft, Tesla, whatever.
6:03
They're run by their legal department.
10:03
You all have fun.
75:07
Or does Rhea come up short and then Jade continues on and Charlotte and Rhea feud, but it's not for a title?
75:16
Yeah, Rhea, I like that they started the show with Rhea.
75:19
I was upset that she wasn't on SmackDown last week because I was there.
75:23
But I think when you start the show off with somebody, that's oftentimes kind of an indication that you feel good about them.
75:29
And I thought she always comes across as a big star.
75:33
So it does seem like they're rushing to this rematch with Jade a little bit, kind of came out of nowhere.
75:38
But- I assume they want to keep it on Rhea because Jade's reign was so lackluster, doesn't quite give the experience I'm looking for, but it was not a lot to it.

85:15
Josh, what do you think?
6:48
Yeah.
6:49
Yeah.
6:50
So like, I'm with you on this.
6:51
Like, I didn't not like this segment.
6:53
I thought this was a good segment.
6:54
I thought both guys did well in their role.
6:56
But the problem is, I don't know what their role is.

51 MINS LATER

57:30
Yeah, so Joshua, what do you think?
27:12
Or no, Wade's just frozen?
27:16
Okay, well, on the off chance that I'm not actually frozen...
27:20
I'm gonna continue arguing with Zach.
27:24
So yeah, if there's four people in a match and one of them gets disqualified, it's a three-way.
27:30
Super easy, right? If there's three people in a match and one of them gets disqualified, it's a two-way.
27:35
If there's two people in a match, one gets disqualified, the one remaining guy wins.
27:40
Very simple.

6 MINS LATER

33:18
I'm Wade Keller, host of the show, editor, publisher, and founder of the long-running Pro Wrestling Torch Weekly News.
29:53
That said, if you want to overcome that, have a segment like this where you just want to see... you know i mean i think people think k-man's gonna win but obviously you know people think that but jay uso won the rumble i mean i people should keep in there's a possibility that they do a twist i mean they don't have a ton of healthy baby faces or people right now so who can challenge hangman so i'm just making the case don't don't assume anything they might do a rematch a week and a half later on dynamite or something and switch it back but i thought it's really good segment uh joshua what stood out to you what do you think
30:21
Yeah, so I think last time I was on here, I said that Hangman should open every show with a promo.
30:27
And this just kind of further cements that attitude I had.
30:30
And yeah, Hangman is always good.
30:32
He's just earnest and impassioned and very believable in what he says, which is great.
30:37
That's what he should be.
30:39
he seems like he's yelling but he's not yelling sometimes which is a little off-putting um especially contrasted to smojo who's just cool calm and like even more powerful with the way he's speaking um but yeah i thought they were both excellent they're both great they made this match seem uh more interesting because To be honest, when they threw it together last week over Hangman dropping his Trios title, which is a super important title to Joe, apparently, I think they did a good job expounding on how this match came about and making it seem like it is a big deal.

I had it on a cassette mixtape, I think, back in the day.
