Romans

10, verse 4.

In other words, if you try to find righteousness by fulfilling the Torah, the law, you need to do it all.

But the righteousness that is by faith, which Paul has been talking about through all these previous chapters, it says this, do not say in your heart who will ascend into heaven, that is to bring Christ down, or who will descend from the dead, that is to bring Christ up from the dead.

But what does it say? The word is near.

I love that Marta felt impressed to encourage us that the Lord is near.

That is what is being said.

Paul's saying no.
