Josh, you're in Israel, and on the eve of this election, can you explain the opposition bloc that is effectively formed going up against Netanyahu? And to what extent is the war in Iran a rate high on the minds of Israelis that are going out to vote?
36:22
You know, Vaughn, it's an interesting dynamic and it's an interesting difference between the domestic politics around Iran in the U.S. and here in Israel.
36:30
For generations, Israelis have seen Iran as an existential threat, and not just Iran itself, but also its own proxies to the north and Hezbollah, Hamas, of course, and the Houthis, none of which, by the way, have been eliminated in the course of the last few years.
36:46
They've been significantly weakened, but the operations, of course, continue kind of all throughout the region.
36:51
most notably in Iran.
36:53
So Israelis, you know, that's the feeling that the everyday Israeli running on the path behind me here in Tel Aviv would not be sorry if the Iranian regime were to fall.
37:05
That said, domestically, the issues, to your point, with the opposition here across Israel really is not about Iran.
40:08
How is Gaza playing into Israelis votes here on Tuesday?
26:36
Right.
26:36
So now it's let's get off the grid, but that means building their own power plants.
26:40
That means burning fossil fuels and sending pollutive, pollut- you know, pollutants into the air.
26:45
I wanna show you what some voters had to say.
26:47
This is in two different places.
26:49
This is Texas and West Virginia, two totally different stories, but both red states, and listen to what these voters had to say.
26:57
You're willing at this point to forego basically every conservative issue and let the Senate fall into the hands of Democrats if that's what it takes to kill data centers?
28:40
Yes.
40:11
Tell us what's going on.
40:13
Well, what's going on, Katy, is that really in the last hour, the state of Pennsylvania released new numbers on how many people have been afflicted with measles, uh, to date so far this year.
40:24
That number is now 424 people.
40:27
Uh, and it says 94 cases in the last seven days, but when you do the math compared to what the number was yesterday, they've actually added 19 cases just in the last 24 hours, which should s- be quite notable and s- speak wonders about just how quickly this seems to be accelerating across the state.
40:45
And as you said, about half of these cases are here, uh, in Lancaster County.
40:50
Uh, about five years ago, and we're gonna get into this, I imagine, with Brandy, RFK Jr. came here and gave a speech to a group of people in Lancaster County, and he suggested that the cure to measles instead of a vaccine is chicken soup and vitamin A.
41:04
That was five years ago.
42:05
Right.
42:05
Right. And then from there, a lot of governors in majority red states followed suit with- when it came to state regulation.
42:13
And so that began this boom of building these places that has started coinciding with the AI boom.
42:20
Of course, the purpose of that executive order in, in the words of President Trump and the White House, was in our ongoing and growing competition with China over AI.
43:12
What, what is it that is the main objection here?
43:15
So well, it's all of the things that you laid out so well in that, in that run-up, right? But at the end of the day, it seems to me it's a transparency issue.
43:24
It's an issue about good government and people's ability to control what's going on in their own backyard because no one has made the case to individual Americans about why AI is good for them-
28:03
And so what are they telling you?
28:04
Well, so this is Mississippi.
28:06
That, you see there, it says Macro Harder on the roof.
28:09
This is an Elon Musk data center facility.
28:12
Macro Hard and Macro Harder, XAI.
28:15
This is Brock.
28:16
That's cute.

6 MINS LATER

34:25
You talked to him, right?
34:32
Um, w- what's next for passengers, but also for the employees?
34:39
Well, it's a great question, Jonathan.
34:40
Thousands of employees are now out of work, tens of thousands of passengers who have tickets booked in the future.
34:47
Uh, you know, the, the industry has come out saying it's going to protect both groups.
34:52
Uh, employees are going to have the opportunity to interview on a preferential basis at other carriers.
34:58
The union representing flight attendants told me yesterday that they'd been told that their paychecks, this current payroll run is going to continue even in liquidation.
35:07
So they will, uh, uh, supposedly be paid i, in their next paycheck.
